Celebrating Success at the 2026 Energy Safety Awards
20th August 2026
This week we are celebrating success at the 2026 Energy Safety Awards, with Colin Boud, Offshore Installation Manager, named winner of the Site Leader Award.
The Energy Safety Awards, organised by Step Change in Safety and Offshore Energies UK, recognise the people and teams making a positive impact on safety across the energy industry.
This year, AOC was proud to be shortlisted across five award categories, recognising the commitment, innovation and people-focused approach demonstrated across the organisation:
- Anasuria TUPE Team – Wellbeing Award
- AOC & Empirisys – Major Hazard Awareness Award
- Akhila Joe – Sharing & Learning Award
- Spencer Towes – Safety Representative of the Year Award
- Colin Boud – Site Leader Award
Celebrating Colin’s Win
A special congratulations goes to Colin Boud, who took home the Site Leader Award.
As Offshore Installation Manager on the Anasuria FPSO, Colin was recognised for his people-focused approach to leadership and his commitment to creating an environment where safety, teamwork and open communication are part of everyday operations.
For Colin, good leadership is about creating a culture where people feel comfortable speaking up, asking questions and challenging when something doesn’t feel right. He is also passionate about developing others and supporting people to grow in confidence and reach their potential.
Colin said:
“For me, good leadership is about creating an environment where people feel comfortable speaking up, challenging when something doesn’t feel right and looking out for one another. I’m a big believer in developing people, and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone grow in confidence and achieve more than they thought possible.”
His award is a fantastic recognition of the leadership Colin demonstrates offshore and the positive culture he helps to foster across the Anasuria team.
Five Finalists, Five Great Achievements
While there could only be one winner in each category, reaching the final across five separate awards was an achievement AOC was incredibly proud of.
Each nomination told a different story – from supporting colleagues through change and improving major hazard awareness, to developing engaging safety training and championing practical improvements offshore.
What connected them all was a shared commitment to putting people first, continuously improving and making Anasuria a safer and better place to work.
The nominations also reflect the contribution of the wider teams behind each finalist. Whether onshore or offshore, these achievements are built on collaboration, shared learning and people working together to make a difference.
AOC would like to congratulate all of our finalists on their well-deserved recognition and thank everyone who contributed to the work behind each nomination.
Congratulations to Colin, all of our finalists, and everyone across AOC who continues to make safety part of everything we do.
